CTET Syllabus

The Central Board of Secondary Education has set the exam date for CTET 2018 in the month of December. All teacher job seekers who applied for Paper 1 & Paper 2 they have to attend the Central Teacher Eligibility Test which will be held on 09th December 2018.

All eligible teacher job seekers who wish to grab a teacher job from 1st to 8th class in CBSE, CTET is a milestone for them. Aspirants need to do hard preparation to crack this high competitive entrance exam. Only CTET crackers will be eligible to grab Ist to VIIIth class teacher job.

There will be two papers i.e.

Paper I: It will be organized for 1st to 5th class teacher job seekers.

Paper II: It will be held for 5th to 8th class job seekers.

CTET 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • The question paper will be based on the Objective type questions.
  • The total 150 questions will be asked in this exam.
  • The written exam will be held for 150 marks.
  • The duration of the written test will be 2:30 hours.
  • No negative marking will be there.

Applicants should start preparing for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test as soon as possible. The written test will be held on 9th December at the many allotted examination centers. Candidates should prepare for this exam according to the given syllabus and exam pattern.

  • Total Time Duration will be 2 Hour 30 minutes.
  • Test items in the language I & II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • The Test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects.

CTET Exam Syllabus 2018

Child Development & Pedagogy:

The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years for Paper-I & The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning, relevant to the age group of 11-14 years for Paper-II. They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs, and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

Language I & II:

Questions will be asked form Comprehension & Pedagogy of Language Development.

Mathematics:

Syllabus for Mathematics of Paper-I & II is different. There is also the difference in the level of Questions asked in the exam.

About CTET:

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi. The CBSE organizes the CTET exam every year to shortlist the skilled candidates for various teacher posts. CTET is necessary for all desired peoples to get any kind of Primary Teacher post in CBSE.
